Born and raised in Edmonton, Dr. Robalo has proudly been a part of The Vision Gallery family since 2014 as a previous optometric assistant and was mentored by both Dr. Julie Dien-Fong and Dr. John Pucylo. He attended the University of Alberta graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction. Dr. Robalo moved just outside of Portland, Oregon to continue his education. He successfully received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in April 2020.
As a student, Dr. Robalo combined his interests of travel, culture and eye care to take part in two student-lead mission trips to Senegal, Africa, providing free eye examinations, glasses and antibiotic care for those in need. Throughout the two trips, a total of almost 1000 eye exams were performed in 7 clinic days.
In his spare time, Dr. Robalo enjoys rooting for his favourite hockey and soccer teams, listening to indie-rock music and learning to cook as many ethnic dishes as possible. Dr. Robalo is excited to provide North Edmonton and surrounding families with the best vision possible!
