Ray Ban Eyewear

Ray Ban Eyewear EdmontonRayBan has been around since 1937, although their history dates back just a little bit further – to the 1920s when they created a brand new style of sunglasses for American fighter pilots during World War I. Aptly named “aviators,” these sunglasses are still in use today, and RayBan, which is owned by Bausch and Lomb, has expanded from military grade eyewear to sunglasses and eyeglasses for everyone.

Some of RayBan’s iconic styles, which include the wayfarer and the clubmaster, have been spotted on celebrities both past and present. James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Dan Akroyd, Bruce Willis, and Bob Dylan all wore them either on the street, in photographs, or in movies.

Although RayBan is well-known for their aviator style frames, they have also come up with a number of eyewear innovations over the years. Foldable frames, polarized sunglass lenses and the popular transitions, or photochromic lenses were all developed by them.

With so much history and technology on their side, it is hard to resist the lure of a classic pair of RayBan sunglasses or prescription glasses. Their metal and acetate prescription lens frames are quietly flashy, and come in a number of neutral colors, as well as plenty of different shapes and sizes. You will no doubt find a pair that fit your needs at Vision Gallery.
